Non-Teaching Posts -Nagaland university

Applications are invited on prescribed form for the Non-Teaching Post under Nagaland University, so as to reach the Registrar Nagaland University, Lumami -798627, Dist : Zunheboto, on or before 31st December 2011.

ELEGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Director College Development Council (CDC)

a. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade from a recognized University.

b. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor (Sr.Scale/Assistant professor with 8 years in Associate Professor’s grade along with experience in educational administration

OR

c. Comparable experience in research establishment or other institutions of higher education.

OR

d. 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or in an equivalent post.

2 DEPUTY REGISTRAR

a. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC ‘7’ Point scale, along with the

b. Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.6000 and above with experience in educational administration.

OR

c. Comparable experience in research establishment and/or institutions of higher education. OR

d. Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post.

e. Out of four posts, one post is reserved for Finance and Accounts Division. For this post, preference will be given to a Charted Accountant/Cost Accountant with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance and Accounts Division of any Academic Institution/Govt.Office/Public undertaking/Multinational Corporate/Private reputed companies. The applicant must be Computer Literate and convergent with any Software package.

3  INFORMATION SCIENTIST: (a) B.E (Computer) or (b) Master Degree in Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc) and postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). or (c) Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc) with three years experience in the field and post graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) (d) Bachelor Degree in Library Science and information (B.Lib B.Lib Information science) with three years experience in the field and post graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA).

4 HINDI OFFICER- A Post Graduate with minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at Graduation level OR A Post Graduate with minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university in Sanskrit with Hindi and English as subjects at Graduation level. Minimum 1 year of experience in translation from English to Hindi and vice or versa/terminology/ work in Hindi in Central/State Govt./PSU/Reputed Institutions/National/State Level Hindi Newspaper/Weekly/Magazine.

5. HINDI TRANSLATOR: i) Master’s degree from a recognized university in Hindi/English with Hindi as main optional subject or as medium of examination at degree level.

ii) Recognized diploma/certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and Vice Versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in central/state Govt. and or in autonomous institutions offices/ newspapers or translation agencies.

iii) Working knowledge of computer application.

iv) Age 30 years.

v) Age relaxation of 5 years for the employee working in central Gov.t/State Gov./Universities and autonomous institutions.

vi) Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC is also admissible as per Govt. of India Instruction.

Desirable : Knowledge of Sanskrit or any Indian Language.

6. MUSEUM CURATOR : B.Sc with Geology. Preferably with experience in handling museum equipment.

Desirable Qualification: A working knowledge of computer application.

7. U.D.C : Degree from a recognized university or equivalent, with a typing speed of 30 w.p.m.

Desirable Qualification: ( a) 3 years working experience as LDC. and (b) A functional knowledge of computer application.

8 Jr.STENOGRAPHER: Must have passed PU/Higher Secondary with Diploma in Stenography with a speed of 80 w.p.m and 40 w.p.m. in typing.

Desirable Qualification: A functional knowledge of computer application.

9 CARETAKER: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.

OR

10+2 with diploma in Hotel Management and Catering.

10 HINDI TYPIST

a) Pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam from recognized board/Universities.

b) Candidate should have passed Hindi typewriting test with a minimum speed of 25 w.p.m.

c) Working Knowledge of Computer application.

d) Age not above 25 years, age relaxation of 5 years for the employees working in Central Govt./State Govt./ Universities and Autonomous institution.

e) Age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC is also admissible as per Govt.of India instruction.

11 GESTETNER OPERATOR: Candidates must be HSLC passed or equivalent with ITI certificate in the relevant branch.

M I N I M U M     Q U A L I F I C A T I O N
(1) PROFESSOR:- ( OTHER  THAN SCHOOL  OF  ENGG./ SCHOOL  OF  MANAGEMENT/ SCHOOL  OF   AGRICULTURE).
(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/ allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively  engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten  publications as books and or research/policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/college or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology  mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator(API base Performance Based Appraisal System(PBAS)  developed by  UGC in these Regulations.
                                                                                    or
(v) An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
(2)  ASSOCIATE   PROFESSOR:- (OTHER  THAN  SCHOOL  OF  ENGG./ SCHOOL  OF  MANAGEMENT/ SCHOOL   OF   AGRICULTURE)
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned allied/relevant disciplines.
(ii) A Master’s Degree  with at  least 55%  marks  (or an  equivalent  grade in a point  scale  wherever  grading  system is  followed)
(iii) A minimum of eight years experience of teaching  and or research in an academic/research  position
equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, college or Accredited Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of five publications as books and or research/policy papers.
(iv) Contribution to education innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology  mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), developed by  UGC in these Regulations.
                                                                          
(3)  ASSISTANT   PROFESSOR:- ( OTHER  THAN  SCHOOL  OF  ENGG./ SCHOOL  OF  MANAGEMENT/ SCHOOL  OF   AGRICULTURE):
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Holders of Ph.D. Degree as on the date of Notification of these Regulation, along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./PhD. Degree), Regulations, 2009, and so adopted by the University, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
(iv)  NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.   -6-
SCHOOL  OF  ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY & SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
(i) PROFESSOR:- Ph.D. Degree with first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the appropriate branch of Engineering /Management /Technology with 10 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which 5 years be at the level of Assistant Professor and /or  equivalent.
QUALIFICATION  AND EXPERIENCE FOR CANDIDATE FROM INDUSTRY AND PROFESSION:-Candidates from Industry/ Profession with Master’s degree in Engineering/Management/ Technology and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree and with 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be a Senior level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.
l Unanimously declared equivalent to Ph.D. by a 3- member expert committee, duly appointed by affiliating University.
(ii) ASSOCIATE  PROFESSOR:- Ph.D. degree with first class degree at bachelor’s or Master’s levelling the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management/Technology with 2 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer or  equivalent.

First class at master’s degree level in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management /Technology with 5 years experience in  Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer of equivalent. Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D. degree within a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor. In the case of Universities/University departments and the institutions offering PG programmes/Research, Ph.D. is a must. For candidate from Industry, Professional experience in R&D and patents would be desirable requirement failing which the increments will be stopped until Ph.D. earned.
                                                                                                          
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE FOR CANDIDATE FROM INDUSTRY & PROFESSION:- Candidates from Industry/ Profession with First Class Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management/Technology or First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management/Technology.Professional work, which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree and with 2 years experience at a position equivalent to lecturer level would also be eligible.l Unanimousy declared equivalent to Ph.D. by a 3-member expert committee, duly appointed by affiliating University.
(iii) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR:- First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg) /Management/Technology (no minimum experience required

First Class Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management /Technology or equivalent, valid GATE score, minimum 75 percent to complete <.Tech/M.E. within 5 years failing which the increments will be stopped until the post Graduate degree is earned. The institutions to provide adequate opportunity to its teaching staff to complete this requirement.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE FOR CANDIDATE FROM INDUSTRY & PROFESSION:- Candidates from Industry/ Profession with first class Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate  branch of Engineering /Management/Technology for First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Management/Technology.
QUALIFICATION FOR  CANDIDATE FROM  SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY:- Ph.D. Degree with first class degree at B.Sc(Ag), B. Tech.(Ag), or M.Sc(Ag) level in the appropriate branch in  Agricultural Engineering Technology
