Union Bank of India was registered in November 1919 and is one of the leading public sector banks in India with Headquarters in Mumbai. Union Bank of India is inviting applications for recruitment of 2473 Probationary Officers (PO) from those qualifying IBPS Common PO exam Sep 2011. Important details are as follows:-

Online Registration and Payment of fees: Dec 30, 2011 to Jan 14 2012,

Eligibility Criteria

Age should be between 21-30 yrs as on 01.07.2011,

Should be a graduate from a recognized university with Minimum 55% Marks (50 % for SC/ST/PWD/OBC). Those with A Diploma in Banking & Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) will be preferred (Not necessary although).

Should have qualified the IBPS Common PO exam conducted in September 2011. Please note that no Minimum marks criteria is mentioned so anyone passing the exam may apply.

Candidates that are in Final year of graduation may not apply (Although those that have final results and waiting for degree may apply).

Basic Knowledge certificate in computers (Not required if you studied computers as a subject in Degre)

Relaxation in Upper age Limit :-

For SC/ST :- 5 Years Relaxation,

For OBC :- 3 Years Relaxation,

For PWD (VI/HI/OC) :- 10 Years Relaxation,

Selection Procedure

Selection will be made on the basis of Total weighted Score obtained in IBPS Common PO exam (Held in September 2011) and marks obtained in Interview.The bank will call candidates by shortlisting from received applications.

The Interview has 50 marks weightage and 25 marks is the qualification criteria.

**Note that on final selection, candidates will have to sign a Bond of three Years.

Application Procedure

The fee for this Application is Rs.50 for (SC/ST/PWD) and  Rs.200 for All Others.  

Fee can be paid at any branch of Union Bank of India by the Payment Challan (Given in bottom of the Advertisement). Payment should be made between Jan 2 to 16, 2012.

After payment, candidate should apply online by given link and take two print outs of application form for future reference. The application form along with original payment challan and a passport size photograph should be carried at the time of being called for Interview.
